Seeing a new-to-us region of France from a different vantage point sounded exciting, so Tom, Dagny and my in-laws set off for our Nicols canal boating experience in Alsace. A DIY canal cruise is an amazing experience for anyone who wants to experience France’s canals from the water. Alsace was rural and beautiful.
