Hi there! This is a series I do called Monday Mishmash, and if you’re new to my blog, it’s a conversational type of post where I update you on happenings around here and let you know about anything else going on. Let’s get right into it!
So let’s keep this short and sweet.
I guess I should start with my computer. It’s where my head is right now which is laughing/crying at my tech issue.
Last night just before dinner, I was sitting in front of my computer when it told me it needed to restart to install some Windows updates. The updates are a pretty regular occurrence but what happened after was not. When it was about 30% done, I got the blue screen of death. Some boot files are corrupted and Windows can’t start up. It’s a big mess and won’t even boot up in safe mode.
I guess first thing this morning I’m going to have to find a computer repair person to get me up and running. My computer is my personal laptop as well as the one I use for work, so I need it to be functional ASAP. It’s a pain because my computer is about 4 years old and a bit damaged due to a few mishaps it’s had over the years. I really don’t want to sink any money into it but here we are.
After that dumb update, I was planning on backing it up since it had been a month or so but never got that far. I’m sure the blue screen of death was from some kind of malware. My Norton virus protection told me I was clean and my malware software didn’t pick up anything unusual either, but viruses are sneaky. I have some questionable online habits so I’m sure I did this to myself. Fingers crossed I can get my system back in action without having to wipe everything.
The latest on my YouTube channel
I recently mentioned that I was going to reboot my YouTube channel and have made a few videos recently that I’d love for you to watch and share. With lots of friends. Don’t forget to subscribe!
My content over there will fall into the “Everyday French life and beyond” category and for now I’m keeping it simple as I’m just getting reacquainted with YouTube and video editing. We’ll see what the fall brings.
And please, if you like my videos, would you let me know? They take a TON of time to make, so if you enjoy them, speak up/comment and let me know what you’d like to see next! Merci for your support.
A cool bag
You know I’m a big online shopper/browser, so if you need a new site for style and fashion inspiration, check out Sacha. They sell a nice mix of shoes, bags, and accessories if you live in Europe and they were even nice enough to send me the bag pictured above.
End of summer break
If you’ve been reading awhile, you know I’ve been extremely consistent with posting on my blog pretty much weekly for 6+ years and it’s time for me to take a step back from posting weekly content for the next month or so. I’d like to put my efforts into my YouTube channel and other projects I have on my plate and there’s not enough time to do everything — well, not well at least. I’ll be heading south for my day job in a couple of weeks and need to focus on that, too. By officially telling you this, it takes the made up pressure off that I put on myself, so there, I said it. You may not see a new post for 3-4 weeks and I’m OK with that. 😉
(If you’re new here, read this anniversary post from June that has a bunch of my top links to keep you busy.)

Wishing you a wonderful rest of your summer. Come chill w/me over on YouTube and FB, where I’ll be active even if I don’t post here for a few weeks.
See you soon!

Oh No ! I hate computer issues ! Years ago I had a computer that totally crashed.
Before it died I kept getting the blue screen.
After that happened my entire computer screen looked turned plaid !
It looked exactly like a Scottish tartan ! I will never forget that horrible day !
Hang in there ! Keep going with everything you are doing ! Hugs and light to you !

Oh no the blue screen of death no one likes that and we all have had it, it comes with having a computer, or the death of a computer, the frustration we feel when we lose stuff that was on the computer. I hope your computer can be repaired, without loss of stuff
