I love finding out about new products and brands through the blogs I read and today I’m sharing a review of Caveman Cookies with you. I recently discovered the brand in a care package my parents sent me. The healthy cookies are made with ingredients our ancestors had (and none of the artificial junk from today) and are perfect if you follow a paleo diet and equally delicious if you don’t.

Caveman Cookies review
Overview
The Caveman Bakery is a woman-owned business launched in 2009 that makes all-natural, healthful Paleolithic baked goods that taste REALLY good. Caveman Cookies‘ products are also kosher, gluten-free, GMO-free and free of refined sugar. These healthy cookies are satisfyingly sweet but not too sweet and are chewy and moist unlike some healthy products out there. Another plus? Caveman Cookies are small and individually packaged if you’re looking to control your portions and also make a great snack.
Flavors
So for a quick rundown of the flavors I’ve personally tried:
Each cookie is between 2.25 and 2.75 inches and between 65 and 75 calories per cookie depending on the flavor. They’re on the smaller side but are chewy and satisfying. Caveman Cookies have a shelf life of one year if stored in a dry location at room temperature.
Original: This flavor has raisins and walnuts and tastes like a spice cake. My fave, although you can’t go wrong with any of the flavors.
Rainforest: These cookies are made with cherries and exotic rainforest flavors like Brazil nuts and cayenne pepper.
Alpine: The Alpine variety takes the Swiss flavor combination of hazelnuts and chocolate but uses carob instead of chocolate.
Mayan: This flavor blends chili and chocolate (but in a delicious way) with a bit of chia for a subtly sweet, chewy cookie.
Bottom line
Caveman Cookies taste healthy but in the best way possible. Moist, unprocessed and a guilt-free treat, I’d absolutely recommend these cookies whether you follow a paleo diet or not.
You can buy Caveman Cookies via Amazon.
Enjoy!

Hi Todd, yes they’re definitely worth a try. Good to keep a box in your desk at work if you crave something sweet in the afternoon that won’t ruin your appetite for dinner. I’d always run to the vending machine around 3 or 4 pm and my office had a great healthy vending initiative but no Caveman Cookies in the vending machine or anything. You can find ’em in a bunch of natural and health food stores in NYC. Hope all is well!
