I started Oui In France six months ago not really sure if it would take off or if anyone would actually read my posts. What would I write about? How often will I post? So many questions! But I’m happy to report that Oui In France has been a HUGE success and that’s all thanks to your support. Curious about what posts were the most popular? The strangest keywords that have gotten Googlers here?
Read on!
I can’t believe I’ve been blogging on Oui In France for only six months. This blog feels like a part of me and something I’ve been doing forever. In the past six months, I’ve hosted several giveaways, made a few new blogger friends and have even been nominated for an expat blog award (winners announced Dec. 15!). But most of all, I’ve enjoyed getting to know some of my readers and helping them out with advice on France, where to find a certain product or just reassuring them that their transition to French life will work out just fine.
But back to the blog. In case you’re curious, here are the past six months at a glance:
My readers: Most of my readers are from the US, followed by France, the UK, Canada and then Australia (in that order).
Popular keywords: “French pharmacy products” and “How to look French” bring in the most traffic from search engines.
Traffic sources: Aside from search engines, Facebook, Twitter and StumbleUpon send over a good deal of traffic as does Sara In Le Petit Village. Thanks for including me in your blogroll!
Posts
# of posts: 84 including this one
Most popular (most pageviews, aside from giveaways): People are very interested in French pharmacy products! Top French pharmacy beauty products
2nd most popular: Why French pharmacies rule
Most commented on: When the French pharmacist talks about your vagina
My favorite: Why you should quit your job and move abroad
Funniest in my opinion: French language flubs
Strangest keywords that people typed in to arrive at my blog: public sex pic (thanks to this post), if i have a baby with a french man will he speak both languages, are french women still hairy
Thank you so incredibly much for your support. My readers are why Oui In France has been so successful and I really, truly appreciate that.
What’s coming up? Well, my birthday is New Year’s Eve, and Tom, Dagny and I are renting a house in Bretagne (can’t get enough!) for the week, so lots more to come!

Wow, congrats on the 6 month anniversary! Huge accomplishment! Although I’m across the pond in NYC, I’m a very active member at the French Institute, and love going to their French films and art exhibits…what can I say? The French are simply fabulous!:-)
