Today I’m bringing you some entertainment, Google Analytics style. We all find blogs different ways either via social media, word of mouth, Bloglovin’, from other blogs and of course via search engine queries. And here are the best of the best. Read on for a few crazy search terms that helped people find my blog and some Oui In France blog stats.

2014 has come and gone but I’d like to take a second to give you some insight into the behind-the-scenes stuff here at Oui In France. Let’s talk about some blog stats and my readers (love you all!):

- 39% from the USA (with over 7% of my total readers in the state of California!)
- 23% from France
- 8% from the UK
- 5% from Canada
- 57% of you read Oui In France from your desktop computer.
- 35% use Chrome as your browser.
- For those of you who read Oui In France on a mobile device, 40% use an iPhone.
- About 70% of you are female. (I say “about” because I didn’t enable that part of Google Analytics until recently, oops)

- When it comes to social media, Facebook brings me the most page views.
- Average time spent on my site per session is 2 minutes and 19 seconds.
And now for the entertainment
Lots of normal keywords helped you find Oui In France like “dating a French guy” and “how to look French” but there were some crazy ones too.

Very creative. You’ve inspired me to reveal my top searches. Just last week i noticed a bunch of hits coming in from the following search term
“best country for anal sex”. Go ahead, I dare you to type it into the search engines right now.
At the time of this post, i am in the number one slot for “best counry for anal sex”.
um ok? I promise, i never wrote a word about anal sex. Never! I swear!

OK, just googled. Not only are you in the search results but YOU ARE #1. hahahahah. it seems like a commenter mentioned anal sex (travelguy) but how the heck would you rank #1 after just a simple mention??

I honestly don’t remember how I ended on your blog! I think it must have had something to do with my former coworker, she is an American living in Belgium, and sometimes (rarely) she struggles on some word/expression meanings, so maybe I ended up here while searching for a way to explain it in a clear way (it’s sometimes difficult for native speakers to do that! 🙂 )

At first I had written “I liked the themes you talk about” (meaning “since the first time I read your blog”), and then I thought “wait, it sounds as if I don’t like them anymore!” so I changed the tense 😀

It doesn’t surprise me that 39% of your readers are from the USA and 7% from California. France is a much better place to live ! In the USA we deal with an overwhelming amount of corruption in the government and the medical system complete with unethical spin doctors. Though no country on the planet is perfect, I do believe that France is still by far more superior. This is because they treat human beings with dignity in their health care system. They treat people of all ages with dignity and respect. That alone speaks for itself.
I agree that France has a lot of good things going for it but no system is perfect, like you said. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

I think I found your blog on a blog of a French expat in the US.
It’s scary to see how much information Google have on us so they can tell what is your sex when you’re browsing on the internet. What is even scarier is that they can also tell if the author of a blog has hairy legs so people looking for that can be redirected to the right blog!… Hihi, just teasing you 😉
