Howdy… a quick post coming at you today!
After you’ve spent some time in France, you’ll notice two things: 1) A bunch of words/phrases are so commonplace that you hear them EVERYWHERE and 2) That you’ve actually incorporated these overused words and expressions into your speech just like the French. And the video I’m sharing with you illustrates how comical this can be.

And let’s not forget Norman (in French), a super-popular French guy whose YouTube channel is worth a look. As well as Geraldine’s English language tutorials at Comme une Francaise for how to do all things French.

I think I saw the first video when it originally came out, but it’s so great to see again now that I understand it all! 😉 The other word I hear a lot at work is “pourri” (shitty), but my all time favorite is when they yeall “N’importe quoi!”

Hahaha thanks for sharing Diane, I find this SO true! My friends from France literally say all of those, at least that’s what I can observe whenever I stick around for a couple of days!
