Our Easter Sunday was spent at Tom’s parents’ house where we had a leisurely meal followed up by a lot of chocolate! Best part? It was finally sunny so Dagny enjoyed herself outside at the nearby park!
Go read more about our Easter Sunday in France!
France celebrates Easter on Sunday like we do in the U.S. except that most people have off Monday as well. So Tom is home from work today and we’re going to scope out some more houses for sale.
So the food on Easter Sunday in France is a lot like it is in the U.S. Special meals are made and enjoyed with the family. We dined on lamb for the main course which was followed up by a yummy pear dessert with ice cream.
Like in the U.S., chocolate is popular for kids (and adults!) big and small except unlike the U.S., a bell with wings brings the goodies — not the Easter Bunny. Not sure which one is more farfetched actually! My Easter Bunny’s name was Tom and he brought me all kinds of chocolates from the boulangerie — an egg, a chick and a a bunny that I’m sure will be gone by Friday.
Dagny wasn’t left out of the fun and had a smile plastered on her face the whole day. She stood next to Papi while he was cooking and loved that he kept “dropping” bits of lamb. Later on, she delighted in the fact that it was sunny out and enjoyed jumping through the high grass like a little Easter bunny. Look at that happy face!
