Hi guys, photo post here for you today. As I mentioned last week, I’m down in the South of France, the region of Langedoc Roussillon to be exact on the Mediterranean coast, for something work related. We managed to explore the area in and around Perpignan a little bit as well. While the city itself was nice, the most beautiful areas were on the coast. It was well worth the drive and traffic to see some of the coastal areas about 30 minutes from Perpignan’s center.

I love the stores that have regional products wherever you go in France. One shop I popped into in the center of Perpignan had all kinds of sweets like these.
This rugged coast was at Port Vendres but it was so difficult to find a place to park so we could get out and walk. The homes are built right into the side of the mountains.
The wind was whipping and here’s Dagny striking a pose.
This was on our way to dinner in Collioure. The port area was full of fun shops and restaurants to discover.
All the houses were candy-colored and I couldn’t resist snapping a few pics.

Dinner, at last!! An excellent meal of brill and veggies to end an incredible time in Perpignan!

Argeles sur Mer, Collioure, Port-Vendre, Banyuls, Cerbere…. I miss so much La Cote Vermeille and Costa Brava!!!!! Languedoc Roussillon is the best region of France (to me). My best vacations were in this region, when I was young with my parents. My grandfather (my Mom’s dad) was born in Rivesalte. Thanks Dianne for sharing these beautiful pictures.
It really is a beautiful region and so happy I was able to see it for the first time! So glad it brought back happy memories!
