UPDATE: It looks like La Chambre Paris has gone out of business. For another quality sheet option, check out Quince’s sheets here instead!
If you’re like me, getting quality sleep is really important to you. I’ve always been an early riser, love taking naps, and getting eight hours of sleep per night is a must. I don’t think I ever pulled an all-nighter in college and I’d rather wake up at 6 a.m. than go to bed after midnight.
Part of getting quality sleep is having quality sheets, so to that end, let me introduce you to La Chambre Paris. It’s where to buy bedding in Paris! Founded by a half American/half British couple in Paris, La Chambre Paris makes standout sheets and let me say upfront that you won’t be disappointed.
La Chambre Paris: French sheets you’ll love
First, over the years I’ve learned to not spend as much money on stupid things and instead put my money into select well-made items that will last. I like nice jewelry, a comfy couch, quality eco-friendly clothing, travel experiences, and yes, sheets.
Think about it, we spend a third of our day (or almost) in bed, so why would we skimp on something so important? Getting a good night’s sleep sets the tone for the entire day, so if comfy bedding can help in that department, I’m all for it.
But then I moved to France, where finding good quality sheets was a bit difficult. They were never soft enough and the ones that were had price tags that would make your eyes bulge.
La Chambre Paris founders Alison and Ian noticed the same thing so they made it their mission to “develop a range of beautiful bed linen that is manufactured responsibly, taking care of those who produce it and those who sleep in it.” Their website goes on to explain that they have cut out all middlemen so that the customer is getting the best price.
That said, La Chambre Paris makes a luxury product and the price reflects that.
And let’s not forget their American-style customer service. La Chambre Paris gives you 90 days to test out the sheets and if you want to return them, you can — no questions asked. There’s free shipping and returns in France and reduced cost international shipping.
In addition, all La Chambre Paris packaging is either reusable or recycled and nothing is ever packed in plastic. Each sheet and pillow set comes in a cloth drawstring bag.
They also plant 10 trees for each purchase which they explain “will offset 3 tonnes or 43% of your CO2 for one year (average carbon emissions per capita in France is 6.9 tonnes).” All products are eco-friendly and made in a family-owned Portuguese factory that’s been in business for three generations.
So how are the sheets? Uhm, these French sheets are dreamy…
Ian generously sent us the Queen-size cotton percale sheet set in deep blue, which includes a fitted sheet, duvet cover, and two pillows. You choose between square or rectangular ones. He also sent a white linen top sheet which is nice and light for warm summer nights. On top of that, I was thrilled to also get the Paris Bed Linen Set for my nephew (more on that in a sec).
I loved how everything was packed in an individual drawstring bag as I mentioned. They make great storage bags for toiletries and travel, shoes, lingerie or whatever needs some organizing.
Right out of the package, the sheets felt luxurious. They were not scratchy or rough at all, which is often the case with sheets I’ve bought in France. The cotton has a nice weight to it and a subtle matte finish. They’re made of 100% long staple cotton with a 240 thread count. I gave them a quick wash and onto the bed they went.
The La Chambre Paris percale sheets just feel good against your skin and it’s clear they’re a luxury product. They were just right in terms of weight, not too thick or thin. What can I say, premium French sheets have that special touch. Even Tom was impressed and he’s a hard sell.
Now for the colorful kids’ sheet set!
The playful Paris Bed Linen Set caught my eye right away, so much so that I wish it came in adult bed sizes. My 3-year-old nephew adored all the designs that decorated the duvet cover. The set comes with a duvet cover, fitted sheet, and a pillowcase.
Doesn’t the crisp white contrast the brightly colored designs beautifully? The French sheets are certified 200 thread count long fiber organic cotton and are almost too nice for a 3-year-old’s bed!
Let’s talk sizes. All of the La Chambre Paris bedding comes in standard French sheet sizes. They don’t have sheets that are specifically made for American size beds.
That said, they’ll work just fine on American beds despite the slight difference in dimensions. For reference, a French queen bed measures 62.99 inches across whereas an American queen is 60 inches.
Instead of getting a fitted sheet for your American bed if you’re concerned about sizing, get a beautiful linen top sheet or duvet cover, which aren’t as size dependent.
Are high quality sheets important to you and do you have any French sheets? If you’re in the market for new bedding, why not deck out your bed in some sheets directly from Paris via La Chambre Paris? If you’re curious about where to buy bedding in Paris, look no further. You’ll never regret treating yourself to a good night’s sleep with quality French sheets.

I am so glad I saw this post! We move over to France near the Pyrenees in September and I have been debating about sheets. I love good sheets and I’m picky. So I’m saving the link to this company in my files so I can pick some up. They sound good and I love the color they sent you!

So happy to hear that, Karen! And I will add that Tom is a tough sell and he commented on how great they are. That’s saying a lot coming from him!
