After a long and rainy winter, spring has finally sprung in my neck of the woods. And nothing says spring like flowers, so I had to pick some up at the marché last weekend.
Go!
I would rarely buy fresh flowers back in the U.S. because it seemed kind of wasteful since they would just die anyway. They’re pretty to look at but don’t last long and were reserved for special occasions. But then I moved to France where flowers took the spotlight at the local markets and were readily available at all price points and in all colors. Tulips are everywhere now and I couldn’t resist picking up a bouquet at the market for 5 euros on Saturday. Worth it, right? These spring tulips really do bring life to my kitchen.
They also look lovely in a French vintage cafetiere vase (which is currently for sale on Etsy)
Do you buy fresh flowers often or treat yourself from time to time?

beautiful! I absolutely buy flowers- but just from time to time! They’re definitely a great pick me up if I’m having a bad day. 😀

Yup, you appreciate them more if it’s just time to time. I admire them at the marche weekly but prob spend 10 euros/month. one or two bouquets. hope home is treating you well, molly!
